Dragon Wang is a partner in the firm’s patent practice.
Dragon is a patent attorney qualified by CNIPA, and a patent litigator qualified by the Supreme People’s Court of China.
He manages patent matters in various industries and technical areas such as automotive and automation, telecommunication, wireless technologies and IoT, among others. Dragon handles a full spectrum of patent related work, including patent prosecution, re-examination, invalidation actions, and administrative and civil litigations, with a recent focus on patent monetisation.
Dragon has accumulated over 18 years working experience as both an in-house patent counsel at Foxconn group where he was responsible for creation and enforcement of global patent portfolios in the field of electrical connectors, and more recently as a private patent practitioner at a leading PRC IP law firm where he served as vice president for the last six years. He also led the mechanical department of the firm where he provided counselling and strategic planning in creation, enforcement and commercialization of Chinese patent portfolios for numerous Fortune 500 corporations. Recently, Dragon has been focusing on patent monetization, including patent transaction, licensing, and litigation.
Dragon has authored many articles related to protection and enforcement of Chinese patent rights. He frequently acts as a moderator and speaker at IP conferences, seminars and academic events.
